Home Performance Business & Tech Best Practices Cohort 

Launching in March 2026

This cohort-based program supports home performance contractors in strengthening both their technical expertise and business operations. Each year, contractors will participate in a series of six interactive trainings focused on construction best practices, business development, and navigating the unique realities of the home performance industry. This cohort is designed to help contractors grow smarter, stronger, and more resilient businesses while delivering high-quality home performance work. 

Food and beverages will be provided at each meeting, along with a participation stipend. You must be a Home Performance Guild member to participate; spots are limited.

Program Topics Include:

  • Home Performance Contracting in Portland
    An overview of key players, stakeholders, and current trends and challenges in the local market.
  • Incentive Stacking to Win Business & Save Customers Money
    Learn how to grow your business, save energy, and help your customers save on energy bills by combining weatherization measures with layered incentives, government funding, and public funding.
  • Crew Lead Development
    Using mentorship and leadership strategies to develop strong, effective crew leads.
  • Contracts & Risk Management in Home Performance
    Understanding the industry’s unique reimbursement structures, including cash flow management, liability considerations, and customer relations.
